This is two-fold, it is a good thing for people who are more anti-social in public settings but on the other hand, technology really has created an anti-social attitude. There may even be a new socialization that has started where we are all only avatars or a still photo, who knows?
I, for one, love my social atmosphere of the Internet but nothing beats getting together with friends and family where you can touch and see people. Do you think our lives are changing this much that socialization has become a computer screen? What would you do without your computer and cell phone? We are lost without them.
I cannot say that I know of someone that has an addiction to the Internet or becomes anti-social in a public forum, but I can certainly see where this is going. It is too easy. We live in a society that we try to make everything more simplistic and why couldn’t it also be socially.
This is a scary notion with the obesity rates as high as they already are. We really need to take a look at the big picture here and see where this may go. Great share, Susan.
