That is confusing!

Are you using any type of hormonal contraception, that may alter your cycle?

If you had a menstrual period after having sex, then it is not possible to be pregnant. Some women may experience spotting or even light bleeding and be pregnant...but if you were expecting your period when it started, it lasted as long as usual, then it is not possible to be pregnant. Menstrual bleeding originates from the uterus (shedding of the uterine lining), and a fertilized egg would be shed along with this lining. Women who experience any type of bleeding and do have a viable pregnancy may be experiencing bleeding from another origin (cervix, vagina, etc.).

Women do have late periods, or even miss a period, and this can be normal. It can also be the indicator of a medical condition, just to let you know the spectrum. Late periods are so extremely common, and can be caused from new medication, recent illness, excessive stress, etc.

You can always take a home pregnancy test, just to rule that out, if you are still worried. You can also call your doctor if your period does not begin soon, and ask if you should come in for an appointment (they may tell you it's fine, that if you miss a second period to call for an appointment...it really is that common to have a late/missed period that is not pregnancy-related!)

does this help?
