The reason why you were spotting from missing the pill sometimes is because usually, when you're on birth control pills, not taking the pill means you are on your placebo week and this is the week you get your period.
You may have to allow your period to return to normal but in the meantime, keep having sex. In some cases this happens right away in others it may take a couple of months to achieve a regular period.
Now, regarding your ejaculation question-- pre-ejaculation can cause pregnancy but for someone actively trying to get pregnant, actual ejaculation inside of you will give you the greatest chance of conceiving. You can explain this to your boyfriend and let him know that ejaculation is not felt at all and will not hurt you or him in any way.
