Now that you are officially late on your period, you might go ahead and take a pregnancy test, just to see if that's indeed a possibility as to what's going on. If it's negative, my best guess would be that your hormones got a bit screwed up when you missed the three pills in a row.

Anon, did you know that when you miss pills, you are supposed to make them up?

-- If you miss one pill, you should take two pills the next day.
-- If you miss two pills, you should take two pills for two days in a row.
-- If you miss three pills, you are supposed to start a backup form of birth control right away, throw away that pack of pills and start the next one (if you are a sunday starter, simply start the next sunday).

Did you do any of this?

I am wondering, if you are on birth control and obviously want to avoid a pregnancy, why you had unprotected sex for three days while missing your pills? You may want to keep condoms around in case this happens again, so you don't have to go through this kind of worry. And please do update us on what happens, OK?
