Very good question, Susan. I think everyone's attitude changes with the economy because it is fear. Fear we will lose our jobs to cuts, fear of spending too much money as we may fall into a depression and certainly fear of our own safety as everyone is struggling and the crime rate is higher.
I mean, what would you do if everything is gone in a flash. Do you think it is that easy to get a job quickly? Not at all. I see many friends of mine struggle daily. It is a tough tough economy. My attitude has not changed as it is survival of the fittest. You have to be prepared to compete in this world. It is slim pickings. Good for the companies, bad for the people.
I just try to remain positive even if the future is pretty grim. It will come back around (hopefully).
