AshBrie,

When are you expecting your next period?

The only way to know if you are pregnant or not is to wait until you've missed your period, and take a home pregnancy test. I know...you would think that something as miraculous as conceiving would cause some kind of sign or symptom in your body, but it just is not detectable until you've missed your period. Part of the reason is that it takes 10-14 days to even become pregnant (from time of ovulation, to fertilizing the egg, to the fertilized egg traveling down the fallopian tubes to implant), and when you do the math, you will know why: you ovulate about 14 days (broad average) before your period, so women are not even technically pregnant (fertilized egg implanted into uterus for a viable pregnancy) until the time of their missed period. That is why HPT are not accurate until you've missed your period, as the implanted fertilized egg releases "pregnancy hormones" detected by the HPT, but until implantation occurs, there are no "pregnancy hormones" for the HPT to detect.

It sounds like you are trying to become pregnant (?), and just wanted to also make sure you are taking your prenatal vitamins, and taking great care of yourself. Did you know that it takes most healthy women 6-12 months to conceive? That is because there is "only" a 20% chance of becoming pregnant each cycle, so the best advice is to keep trying, don't over-analyze any symptoms you have, and enjoy this time!
