I have had a Morton's Neuroma on my right foot and cronic "sideways" hammertoe on my left. The pain is not the same. The Neuroma is much more of a nerve pain and as the tumour grows once you realize you had it, you will realize that you could feel it (but you realize this when it's gone, when I had surgery on that, they said it was fairly large - surgery cured it). A lot of people suffer from hammertoe. It is chronic. I am the same as the writer when I get out of bed. I can only walk with shoes on for about 2 hours max (flat shoes for years). Summer is better because I can wear my sandals (good ones). I have had surgery to shorten the toe but it has gone right back to where it was before surgery. It is driving me crazy honestly.
