Naturally it adjusts it's energy intake and expenditure according to its needs. By providing cheap highly refined, quickly consumed, high energy drinks and snack foods the food/beverage industry is doing more damage to the nation than any terrorist organisation. We have a global crisis relating to Vitamin D deficiency induced by HFCS. The rise in Diabetes incidence is directly linked to HFCS by the way HFCS raised uric acid levels. Soft drink consumption and obesity: it is all about fructose
