If you are obese with 100 or more pounds to lose, your body has a VERY hard time working the muscles underneath all of the fat. Obviously the ultimate goal is to get to a comfortable weight where one can become more active. The HCG protocol moves quickly, however it gives you time in between each round to do more "active" type things, and once one has dropped 60 lbs of the 100, most find it is easier to do so. I have done HCG and the 500 calories and in no way have "Baggy skin", my skin tones improves as I do it and looks better usually than it does regularly once done with each round. True, you will lose weight on a 500 cal diet, even without the HCG, but the point of the hormone is to help hunger cravings and help you to feel better while losing from your fat reserves.
Bottom line, if you are not obese you do not understand what it feels like to try to get out and move or even simply walk, this is something that can help make something as simple as walking for someone obese happen faster and give people (including me) the opportunity to become more active. This is not an American diet, this was created in Europe, how many fat Europeans are there?
I feel it is not productive to hurt feelings with your opinions and when 90% of Americans are overweight to tell people to simply "have self control, seems a bit cruel". In my case I love food, but in most cases would eat and say screw it because I was already fat and depressed, but I have never been the type of person to sit down ave a whole pizza and a box of twinkies and have always been aware of my weight. Everyone's different and everyone's metabolisms are different. I have tried to make changes in the past, and done many diets ,but this is the only thing, including working out at a smaller size, that helps me keep off the weight and truly for the first time in my life have success. For me it has been life changing, as well as many others.
I am happy working out at a gym and building muscle mass works for you, you are most likely not obese or embarrassed to do so. Fat people get enough discouragment in their lives without comments that are negative. I for one plan on a more active life, I like tennis, walking, roller skating and will have no problem building more muscle mass once I get the bulk of my weight off. Bottom line if you are not obese and have never been over 100lbs overweight, you can preach about self control and what one should do in theory, but you will never truly inderstand what it is to be obese. This site is for HCG dieters, you may find it more productive to talk to like minded people that are not obese on a differtn site. Your opinion has been noted.
