I was hurt on the job in 2003 ... everything was dismissed as fibromyalgia. I underwent brain surgery this year ... it wasn't all fibro evidently :) I also have Chiari Malformation 1 ... now the dilemma is finding a competent doctor that can treat the fibro and the chiari ... I would have been much better off had I not had a head on collision on the expressway 6 weeks after surgery .... sigh!
But to answer the original post ... I waited 5 years for my diagnosis as well.
