I had this procedure done Dec. 2, 2010 and it went fine. Minimal cramping during insertion, then none at all. We all carried on a conversation during the whole time. I expected to feel bad afterward but I could have gotten up and gone to work! I read in bed for 4 hrs and then did light housework and was on my feet already with only a light pink discharge. Then I started a light period 4 days later which has continued. I have some clots now and then too. My big question is how long will this last. I did this so I could travel to and around India without one whole suitcase devoted to industrial strength feminine products! Now reading this thread I have the heebiejeebies but the trip is paid for and 16 days away! I am determined to enjoy myself and have a light or no period! That, or embarrass myself in a foreign country with no Starbucks on every corner and questionable loos in the outlying areas? Oh, bloody hell!!??
The one thing that really bothers me in all the research & reading and experimenting that I've done on myself is how this is such an inexact science. We all clearly have endocrine involvement in our issue and yet SO LITTLE SCIENCE has been devoted to our albatross!! If a man's penis had this problem, you can be damn sure there'd be a little blue pill by now AND a cute commercial to go with it AND a race car!!!!! Please ladies, as a person in research I urge you to DEMAND more scientific research into women's health issues. We have to get past this period thing being an issue of shame and not talked about. It has to be acknowledged how many women are inconvenienced to badly suffering from this and it has to be solved, not poked at and the only choice being to not be fertile any longer. We have to get on OPRAH before she quits!! When I read that women in their 20's and 30's are suffering this, I cry, I really do. You don't deserve to have to go thru life like this. I'm still very very active in my 40's or I was before this plague showed up and I'm mad!! I am anemic and I want to keep skiing, hiking, traveling, rollerblading, and yes, having sex, etc. But for you younger chicks, this is TOTALLY unfair.
I'm hoping this works for me, but feel bad that the procedure hasn't helped others and wonder. How much more of this am I going to be forced to grit my teeth and take, grumpily and pissed off at my fellow scientists for ignoring. And I wish you guys had not removed the names of the supplements above. I am curious what works for others and skeptical enough to consider it spam.
