I had this procedure done in the spring of 2002. It did not work for me as I got my period just a few weeks later and have had it ever since. That is, up until about a year and a half ago. My periods were almost as frequent and heavy after I had it done as they were before, until about 18 months ago. They began to get lighter and further apart to the point that I only have one maybe 3 or 4 times per year. I have currently gone 6 months without one. I am 44 years old. I was wondering if this is due to my age or the procedure? Can it have effects such as this when it was done that long ago?
