So I had the Her Option Ablation done in February of 2010 after having DNC to remove polyps. My cervix was too dilated to do the thermal ablation that I was scheduled for so ended up having this done in gyn office. I found it too be very painful, mostly due to tilted uterus and the all of the pain meds bottomed out my bp. I have to say for the first few months afterwards it wasn't too bad. All of the heavy bleeding had stopped. Periods lasted from 3-5 days.Only one sort of heavy day but not like before. However, now over a year later, I am bleeding for 5-8 days still not heavy like before but now I am having a discharge a few days afterward and then mid -cycle I have started spotting again everyday until next period. What's up with this. Appointment with Gyn next month, definitely looking for some answers. I had hoped to be one of the lucky ones that just stopped bleeding all together. I am 47 just trying to get past it all. Should mention that I have PCOS and Fibroids but supposedly the fibroids are the source of my back pain and cramps but not the bleeding.
