I had this procedure in 2010. It was a horrible experience for me. The pain was unbearable since i had a tilted uterus and the doctor had punctured my uterus and small bowel which was left untreated for 4 weeks. I had terrible pain for these 4 weeks and my doctor just said for me to rest and it was normal. I ended up in the ER septic, with peritonitis. I almost lost my life due to the infection. I required open surgery to clean the infection, had a bowel resection and my appendix removed due to the infection. I stayed in the hospital for a week and recovered at home for over 8 weeks. It has been over 6 months and I am still in pain from adhesion's that have developed and now have bowel problems. Please be careful and make sure you are prepared for the worst. If your doctor doesn't help you don't wait, go to the ER immediately! My doctor insisted I was ok and told me "DO NOT GO TO THE ER" she said they would not understand what was causing my pain. I should had gone to the ER as soon as I knew something wasn't right.
