My experience was so similar to yours. I also ended up with a puncture of my uterus and my small bowel and had to have surgery. I was septic as well. They could not tell me for sure if the hole was created by a puncture of the metal rod or from the freezing. Were they able to tell you how it happened? The hole in my bowel was only 3mm. My infection some how lasted for 4weeks before I ended up in the ER. I kept going back to my dr but she never sent me to the hospital for treatment. She kept telling me I was fine.
