They did not tell me if the puncture was from the freezing or the metal rod. My bowel wasn't punctured....a portion of it (about 4") was frozen and not working. My gynocologist did tell me that she called the company (Her Option) and they told her I was only the 5th reported case of something like this in the USA in the last 20 years.
