Danyzina,

Welcome to EmpowHER. And thanks so much for writing.

I am very impressed with your English, even if it is not your first language!! You manage the language very well.

I also have ADHD, though I was not diagnosed until later in life. It does affect everything about us, doesn't it? However, it can also make us more creative, more detail-oriented and more sensitive, so it's certainly not all bad.

How long have you been taking the Concerta? Does it help you focus? When you take it, are you better able to get things done that you want to get done?

How long have you been taking the Pristiq? Have you felt it start to help lift your depression?

I am REALLY proud of you that you are going back to school. I also went back to school, at age 43. You will find that you are not the only older person in school -- many people around that age are changing careers and need some more education, and so the age range in many classes includes everything from 19-year-olds to retirees!!

Also, in some cases I think older students do better because they really, really want to be there.

What do you plan to study, Danyzina?

Is there anything we can help you research?
