Thanks for posting this on behalf of your friend. Since she is a woman, I am going to ask the obvious question: Is there a possibility for pregnancy? And if so, has she been tested? If we can completely rule out pregnancy, not being able to keep anything down for a month can severely dehydrate a person and malnourishment is definitely an issue. Is there a reason why she has not seen a doctor about this? It can be caused by something such as overeating or food poisoning (which would have most likely resolved itself by now),gastritis, bowel obstruction, etc.
One month is a really long time, I would urge for her to see her doctor or better yet go to the ER. At this point, if she really can't keep anything down dehydration has probably ensued. Unfortunately, I only have one symptom to go by and there can be multiple reasons for it. Please update and keep us posted to better help your friend.
