Anon,

Bless your heart. You are dealing with so many things. Let's see if we can help a bit.

First, I am so very sorry for the death of your son. Losing someone we love so much affects everything about us for a long time. How long ago did he die? Please accept my deep sympathy.

Next, let's talk about the hemangioma. My sister has one of these on her liver too. It is simply a collection of blood vessels all in one place that together makes up a big spot. Some people have them on their skin, others on their internal organs. They are benign, which means they are NOT cancerous. Many people have them and never need any treatment at all.

Here is a page on liver hemangioma from the Mayo Clinic. Be sure to click on the links down the side that take you to symptoms, causes, and so on:

When you had your total hysterectomy, you lost your ovaries, which has affected the hormones throughout your body. Are you on any HRT (hormone replacement therapy)? Hormonal imbalance can lead to many, many other things, including weight gain (which can lead to high blood pressure and diabetes), depression, and the anxiety and mood swings that you describe.

Please tell me if you are taking any HRT and if you feel it has helped. And please tell me about the doctor you are seeing -- is he your general M.D.? Does he have any specialty in hormonal issues?

Have your hormone levels been tested since your hysterectomy?
Have you had your thyroid levels checked?

What does your doctor say about your pain? Is he sympathetic and trying to help you find answers?

You do not have to feel like this, Anon. Please get back to us with some more information and let's see if we can find you some answers.
