Hi,
I am so sorry that you are having a difficult time after your hysterectomy, and are struggling to deal with menopause.

I just wanted to make sure: did your doctor remove just your ovaries, or your uterus as well? Did you have a complete hysterectomy? How long ago was your surgery?

Many woman do have hysterectomies for very specific purposes, as their uterus (and possibly their ovaries) need to be removed for medical reasons. Some women are relieved that their once-severe symptoms are now gone after a hysterectomy; other women are devastated that they no longer have their reproductive organs. Can you share with us what medical condition(s) you had that led to your need for a hysterectomy? Did you agree with your doctor on this treatment, and were you provided with alternatives first?

Are you currently taking any HRT (hormone replacement therapy)?

What side effects are you struggling with; may be we can help. (Many women have side effects, some severe, due to menopause, and have not had a hysterectomy.). Are your side effects from your hysterectomy and/or from menopause (or both)?

Hang in there, and we can help provide you with some information to help.
