Susan - The mental health system in the US has been systematically weakened during the past 20+ years, with more and more restrictions placed on patient access to care. I'm not familiar enough with the proposed changes to comment on whether or not they would be beneficial, but what I would like to know is 1) Has there been any patient input into the decision making process? 2) How much influence are those with economic interests, including insurance firms and pharmaceutical firms, having on these changes? and 3) How will these changes be communicated to the general public? The people that a healthcare service is supposed to support, the patient, is often the last one considered - I hope that's not the case here. Pat
