Thank you for your question. Here is some information from the May Clinic in regards to symptoms of TMJ.

Signs and symptoms of TMJ disorders may include:
Pain or tenderness of your jaw
Aching pain in and around your ear
Difficulty chewing or discomfort while chewing
Aching facial pain
Locking of the joint, making it difficult to open or close your mouth
Headache
Uncomfortable bite
An uneven bite, because one or more teeth are making premature contact
TMJ disorders can also cause a clicking sound or grating sensation when you open your mouth or chew. But if there's no pain or limitation of movement associated with your jaw clicking, you probably don't have a TMJ disorder.

From what I understand from your question is that you do not have insurance. You are 14 years old and there are programs that we can help you find that will allow you to have coverage as a child. What city and State do you live in?

I know that you are trying to deal with your illness and don't want to ask for help from your Mother who is ill and you are a tough girl. Please let us help you get the insurance you need. If you would like to speak personally, please click on my name and then click on private message to give me your information. I will be happy to give you the tools you need to get insurance and stop your pain.
