Have you had unprotected sex anytime AFTER your period? If not, then a menstrual period indicates that you do not have a viable pregnancy...you could not be pregnant and have a menstrual period.
If you stopped taking your birth control pills a month ago, this can cause irregular periods. Plus, having been recently ill can slightly throw off a cycle. It sounds like you are having PMS symptoms, so I'm sure your period is on its way.
