Dear Anon,

I just want to reiterate what Susan said-- if a natural birth control method is what you are looking for, then you are already practicing it. For 2 years, I also practiced the rhythm method and I found that it was what worked best for me until we decided to have children.

In combination with the Rhthym Method (which is usually based on calendar dates), you can also opt to add the basal body temperature charting, which involves taking and charting your basal body temp every morning-- in your chart you will notice that your temperature spikes during ovulation. Here is a sample of what it should look like: http://www.babycenter.com/0_sample-basal-body-temperature-cervical-mucus-chart_7252.bc

I strongly believe that these natural methods can be just as effective as birth control pills, condoms, etc.

Best Wishes!
