I've recently had surgery for an impacted wisdom tooth, but still experiencing some problems. When I mentioned on my 4 weekly check-up, the oral surgeon told me to wait another 3 weeks to see if things have settled down....if not, he wants to take another x-ray. I have been complaining of a strange odour since the tooth was first found (18 months ago) and was told once the wisdom tooth was removed, it would be ok?? It is still present, so asked if this could be related to gum disease to which he replied, "Unless it(gum disease) has been 'noted', he didn't think so"?
It's NOT like 'bad breath', and is really beginning to wear me down, so too the pain! Any suggestions????
