Think about the word indigestion for a minute. It means "not digesting." And that's a clue.

The fact that acidophilus seems to help you in all cases suggests that you may have too small a colony of friendly bacteria in your digestive tract (which might also explain why the indigestion was there before you went to raw food as well). Here's a page about how it works:
