As a fellow nearsighted person, I want to say thanks for this post. It's good to know that so many options and possibilities are being studied. I too have balanced contacts and glasses since 7th grade, and now that I'm in middle age, am considering laser surgery. But the options for farsightedness seem so much greater! Any idea why this is so?
