Don't give up. Don't let the doctors and nurses persuade you into "pulling the plug". My 28 year old niece suffered severe brain anoxia on July 20th 2913. She stopped breathing after injecting heroin in Toledo,Ohio. She was in full blown, grand mal seizure when she arrived at the hospital per paramedics. We were told she would not live through the night. Today she talks, eats, cognitive (thinking) ability is very good, moves her legs very well. We laugh together, cry together, pray together. But she lives in a nursing home, she is total care because her arms and hands are very weak, she can not take care of herself. She needs intensive physical therapy. She lives at Hickory Ridge nursing home in Temperance, Michigan, were she received very little physical therapy (4 months). They say she isn't improving. We do the best we can as a family to help her, I known she is getting better every day. In Toledo Hospital the doctors and nurses advised the family to "pull the plug" and let her go peacefully. I hope this helps you.
