Thank you for sharing the story about your father. How is he doing now? My dad had very similar experience compounded by his chronic bronchiectasis at advanced stage. The doctors told us his prognosis is very poor and wanted us to pull the plug. Did your father eventually regain consciousness? Does his brain injury affect him in a significant way or is he gradually improving?
