It sounds like what happened to your sister is very similar to my daughter. She was hit by a car and suffered cardiac arrest. Later in the ER again and she lost oxygen. She is minimally conscious or out likely conscious, but has significant brain damage. She follows commands but can't speak or barely move. It has been the most horrifying 6 months of our lives.
