Hi i had a 2nd ankle fusion on the 26/11/2015 exactly 1 year from the original op I got my cast off on Thursday the 18/02/2016 I was told the ankle had healed well I also had a bone graft from doner as the last time they used bone from my knee but they needed more . On Thursday I met surgeon and he said everything was good and my ankle had heeled well he did say my foot position was that my toes were further forward meaning I would find wearing a low heel more comfortable on Thursday I felt great I thought after 3 yrs of pain and 5 operations I had finally got the result I wanted but on Friday omg the pain was unbelievable I am now 3 days out of cast and I'm struggling I had to take oramorph the other night, I just don't know if this is normal I mean if everything has healed well according to the surgeon is this something I will just have to learn to live with and control I don't really want to take painkillers all the time
