Melissa - Thanks for this important information. The majority of those who live in poverty are women, and the more we know about financial planning the more we can do to protect ourselves and our families. In the past many of the companies that sell financial products and insurance plans tended to ignore women or look down on them as not being intelligent enough to understand this information. Today many of these same companies have marketing programs specifically for women and websites that include many articles and financial tools. It's progress, and a good start toward reducing the number of poor women through education and information, but a lot more needs to be done. Pat
