Ladybug - Fluctuate is another way of saying not always the same. Women's menstrual cycles fluctuate normally from month to month. Your period may change periodically to be shorter, longer, lighter, darker, heavier, etc. You may experience different symptoms, too: tender breasts, cramping, headaches...or nothing. Most women's bodies do not work like clock-work, and actually respond to their environment and change throughout the years. Hormonal fluctuations throughout the months and years is an ever-changing process. If you experienced a recent illness, are feeling really stressed, are taking a new medication...all of these can factor into the changes of your cycle.

If you continue to have these pains then it would be a good idea to see your doctor to determine the cause which may - or may not - be related to your periods. We can't give you a diagnosis from here, your doctor needs to do a physical exam and get your medical history.
