Fatigue, travel and changes in your diet and exercise are enough to change a menstrual cycle in the way you describe. Our hormones are tricky little things and if they get a little out of balance in any given month, we might have our period early, late or even not at all.
I would wait and see what your cycle next month is like. Most likely it will return to normal. But if you have another cycle where the bleeding doesn't stop, you should definitely see your doctor about it so she or he can rule out other causes.
