Hello Anonymous-

Blood in your urine is never normal, and must be investigated. Please see a health care provider for a test as soon as possible. You may have a urinary tract infection. They are very common, but can get very painful if untreated. In addition, untreated urinary tract infections can have complications.

There is an old-fashioned term for urinary tract infections after sex, I think it is "Honeymooner's Disease" or something similar. Sometimes having sex forces normal skin bacteria up the urethra and causes infection, which is where that old term came from.

No matter the cause, you need to have this checked out as soon as you can. It is a simple fix with antibiotics if it is an infection. Don't wait. Blood in urine is never normal. Your body is telling you something is wrong. We have a page on this issue: https://www.empowher.com/condition/blood-urine

Good luck.
