Are you trying to become pregnant? I ask, because most women are not checking their cervix, and if they did, would not know what it is supposed to feel like! You are very "in touch" with your body...great!

Home pregnancy tests, when taken after an expected period, are about 99% effective at detecting any pregnancy hormones. You can feel fairly confident in the results.

Cervical mucus changes throughout the month, and I'm wondering if you are trying to conceive (or, trying to prevent a pregnancy)? Let us know, as I can send you information on checking your cervical mucus if you are trying to conceive. Cervical mucus can be different if a woman is using hormonal contraception.

- Are you using any form of hormonal birth control (pill, for instance)?
- Are you having unprotected intercourse on a regular basis?
- How old are you?
