I was diagnosed with pityriasis rosea exactly two weeks ago, but I had noticed the rash several days before. I initially had a smallish lesion (1,5 cm) on my thigh but my doctor didn't think it was anything serious. A few days after the doctors appointment I noticed few red bumps on my shins, chest and shoulders. The rash then spread to my upper back. At that time I went to the doctor again and was diagnosed. During the two weeks after my diagnosis the red spots (0,5 com - 2 cm) have spread and now cover my back and shoulders (worst affected areas) and I have bumps on my ankles, shins, calves, lower and upper arms, armpits, sides, stomach, chest and few on my thighs and neck. Sigh...

How long did you PR spread? Did some of the spots start healing before the spreading stopped? For how long did it last for the spots to fully disappear (my herald lesion got healed two weeks ago, but I can still see a darker patch on my skin)? How long, from the initial outbreak to skin being mostly healed, did your PR last?

My spots are skin coloured at first (I am caucasian). They then become red. After that they flatted and grow in size. They then become dry and the skin peels off. A red patch on the skin remains.

My PR doesn't itch at all, so I'm lucky. But it's a horrible condition to have. Someone has dais that it is call pityriasis rosea because "pity the s.o.b who gets it". Agreed.
