I am a 27 year old male and have had PR for about 13 weeks. I initially had a case of dermatitis for about 3 months and could not get an appointment with a Derm in weeks so out of desperation I went to a local clinic that gave me a steroid shot. I had never gotten a steroid shot before. After that, my dermatitis cleared out for about a week then I noticed spots around my stomach. Eventually, I got a huge patch on my right pelvic bone and it has spread ever since. I saw a derm. on August 29th who told me it was PR and to wait it out, get some sun, and moisturize.

I have had this in the middle of Houston's humid summer (90+ degrees with humidity) and in a corporate setting. It's been miserable. My entire pelvic and abdomen is covered with it, and now it has spread to arms, down my legs, and slowly reaching my butt. Also, since late August the sun has barely been out on the weekends (I work all day during the week) so I've only bathed in the sun about 4 times and while it felt good right after, I have not done it enough to see a change. The weather has finally dropped to 80s/70s but it has come with lots of cloudy days with rain.

I've been bathing consistently with Aveeno oatmeal baths but no changes other than it calms the itch for a couple hours. I'm on my 5th day with PrrEze cream but sometimes it looks worse, not sure if I had an allergic reaction OR that the cream actually works. I will have to wait and see. I am planning to take a break this weekend with the PrrEze and use coconut oil and vitamin E oil instead. I also plan to try the Milk Thistle. I don't want to use a tanning bed no matter how much people say it works.
