Hi Susan, thank you very much for responding. I'm doing a little bit better now, I KNOW I'll be fine, it's just going to take me some time. My biggest thing right now is pain. Or it was, I just found a site that said ibuprofen could help, and it definitely seems to. One of the things that threw me was that my doctor seemed certain that they shouldn't be painful, and yet I was experiencing pain... but I've found some sites that say burning/itching/pain can occur so that's helped reassure me that there isn't some other problem on top of this.
I am hoping that I will be able to get them removed sooner than a month, because yes, it seems like a really long time, I won't know until the gyno's office contacts me. Apparently the way it works is my doctor sends them a letter (she said letter, but I'm thinking she meant email I hope) and then they contact me. I live in small town manitoba (canada) so I have to go to the closest city... I'm guessing that's part of the reason for the wait.
