C, did your doctor due a pelvic exam? Was it normal?
If your weight gets too low, you can stop having a period. You said you were exercising heavily and lost weight, so I'm wondering if you are underweight? That can stop your cycle in its tracks.
As far as constipation, drink fluids, eat fiber like in vegetable and oatmeal, and walk a lot. That should help some. How is your diet?
I would definitely go back to the doctor if your symptoms don't change. Something is obviously going on with you. If it isn't pregnancy, it is important to figure out what it is. Is your doctor a gynecologist?
