All the intellectual energy that will be spent in the coming weeks to analyze the why's and how's of Van Der Sloot's actions are , in the end, moot. From the moment he bashed that poor girl's head in, he became the number one prize for every loose cannon housed in the Peruvian prison system. Given the victim's family and their influence, its easy to see Joran will die a violent death in a third world prison at the hands of a hired killer or just a killer trying to capatalize on the national sense of hatred against Van Der Sloot. Regardless of the length of his sentence, Joran Van Der Sloot is a dead man walking.
