Hi roxygurl,

How long are your cycles typically? Today would be considered "day 39" of your cycle ("day 1" is counted as the first day of your last menstrual period; the first day of bleeding). Typical ranges for menstrual cycles are 21-35 days, so you would be able to take a home pregnancy test to know if you are pregnant or not (it would be about 99% effective at detecting any "pregnancy hormones" now).

There is a chance of pregnancy every time you have unprotected sex. If the man did not ejaculate, this is still unprotected sex, but it is called using the "withdrawal method" where the man withdraws his penis before ejaculating. This is a very ineffective form of birth control, unfortunately, for most couples. However, there are also many other reasons for a late, or even missed, period (stress, new medication, recent illness, etc).

It really does not matter when you may/may not have ovulated at this point, since you already had intercourse and only a pregnancy test or your period beginning will tell you if you are or are not pregnant.

Please let us know the results, and if we can answer any additional questions.
