You're right, Day 3 is a typical day to test for hormonal levels. And because they rise and fall during your cycle, your levels on Day 18 will be very different than levels on Day 3.
But in terms of "normal" (if there is such a thing!) levels, here is a great chart that tells you hormone levels for FSH, Estradiol and more:
I'm a little confused. Are you hoping to conceive, and are exploring your situation? Or are you just trying to figure out why you are having the pain and symptoms that you are experiencing?
It sounds like you have a great doctor who's right on top of things. Are you planning to do the laparoscopy?
