There are days in your cycle where you are more likely to get pregnant, but really you can become pregnant at nearly any time if you have unprotected sex, particularly with an irregular cycle like yours.
If you do not want to get pregnant again, you do have other options such as an IUD. You may want to discuss this with your gynecologist. There are options other than hormones.
