There are many things that affect your skin, and one of the biggest is diet. Do you eat a healthy diet and drink lots of water? Poor diet is notorious for causing skin problems.

Do you mean you are just rinsing your face with water and nothing else? You may want to use some kind of cleanser, even if it is just something very mild. A buildup of normal skin bacteria can cause a breakout.

Do you smoke? Take birth control pills? Any other medication? Do you wear makeup or use hair product? All of these things can affect your skin as well.

Have you seen a health care provider or dermatologist? There are different kinds of acne and other skin problems, so I'm wondering if you have a formal acne diagnosis or are just referring to skin breakouts.
