I used to take Oxycodone for my headaches but when I took it for cramps it worsened my menstrual pain. I would be in so much pain which lasted for 4 hours until I vomited. Several times it was so bad that I had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance. I felt like I was going to die. For the life of me I couldn't understand why my cycle was so bad the first day. The docs chalked it up to IBS...but it wasn't. So I stopped using oxycodone 6 years ago and just stuck to Ibuprofen, Advil etv., and didn't have an episode, until I was in the hospital in 2013 for the flu and they gave me an oxycodone for pain, and my cycle came on the same day...I had a really bad episode...the only good thing was that I was already in the hospital. So for me, taking oxycodone is a no-no right before and during my menstrual cycle.
