im a 28yo male i had a pilonidal sinus for a while before i mustered up the courage to tackle the excision surgery. That was almost a month ago, now im told its almost fully closed, i had to get the wound packed for 3 weeks, daily. it was left open not sewn shut so it took me 2 weeks of painkillers and packing gauze.
now that the surgery is over and im well into a full recovery i am beginning to wonder how likely is it going to reoccur in the same location (top left of my buttocks). im able to sit comfortably now that the swollen skin at the top of my butt crack is gone.
