So, this is related. I am almost 45, recently remarried in December. Normal, like a clockwork periods until Dec. when period started a few days early(Dec 22). Then, it hung on (through my wedding night and two weeks after!!!) with spotting+light bleeding. There was a total of about 3 weeks of blood. 2 weeks of which was not enough to need much more than a pantiliner, but a pantiliner was not quite adequate. Anyway, I then had a period on Jan 24 that seemed quite normal. Now, nothing. Pregnancy tests are negative. I had a hormone test in early Feb that said I was in early perimenopause (maybe dr. said that, but she was looking at the test results and had listened to my symptoms). Anyway, no period since then, so it is now about 6 weeks late. I have taken several preg. tests-all negative, the last about 3 weeks ago. I will see dr. soon in any case, but doesn't it seem like if this is perimenopause that I jumped into it awfully abruptly?

Until today's confusing cravings (salt and chocolate are cyclic, usually when I am ovulating and garlic is the pregnancy one,) I really just chalked it up to perimenopause. The only other symptom would be frequent urination, and this morning I got out of bed fast and felt dizzy. Food tastes fine and that is usually a big symptom to me of pregnancy. My youngest child is 10 and my oldest is 23. I feel faintly ridiculous to even think I am pregnant, but it is something my husband and I desire, too.
Assuming this is perimenopause, is there any way to jolt myself back into fertility or increase my chances?
