Hi Rimpy,
Ugh...I know (somewhat) how you are feeling. Having to track every detail, every cycle, just to have the extreme disappointment of your period beginning and knowing that not only did you not conceive, but you need to begin all over again. I'm sorry you are going through this, but it is for a good cause! :-)

The symptoms you are experiencing could be so many different things, unfortunately. Pregnancy symptoms mirror pre-menstrual symptoms almost exactly at this early stage. Cramping, bloating, headache, irritability and changes in mood, low back pain, sore breasts, fatigue, tiredness, gastrointestinal "distress"...they are most likely all related to hormonal changes going on in your body. Both pregnancy and your menstrual cycle are determined by hormonal changes.

The good news is...today is July 22nd, and you are expecting your period in three days. You can test for pregnancy if your period does not begin when you are expecting it to (July 25th), as a home pregnancy test would be 99% effective at detecting any pregnancy hormone at that time.

Please know that it takes your body 10-14 days before you even have a viable pregnancy after ovulation, as it takes this long for your egg to travel from your ovary into fallopian tube where it is fertilized, then it must travel to your uterus and find a cozy spot to implant. This process takes awhile, and is the reason that a test will not even detect a pregnancy until about the time of your missed period...about 14 days after ovulation. For some reason, woman do not feel the implantation (I would think this is such a huge, miraculous biological event that it would be felt and known!), and any fluttering by the fetus is not felt until well into 2nd trimester.

Please let us know if your period begins, or if you take a test on the 25th. We will be sending you good baby vibes, and please keep trying if you do not conceive this cycle---you just started your fertility treatment and it can take some time.
