Hi Anonymous,
Living with diabetes I'm sure isn't easy. But following a diabetic nutrition program can only benefit you both. There is an article on EmpowHer that states opinion about traditional diabetic diets is changing. The link associated (see below) with this article says that following a diet with 30g or less of carbohydrates (suggests increasing consumption of cruciferous and leafy vegetables) could improve overall health for a diabetic. The American Diabetes Association web site also has some great information about food and nutrition at www.diabetes.org. They also have a FoodAdvisor area that will help you plan and track your meals based on goals and information you put in. It's totally free! Check it out: http://tracker.diabetes.org/recipe/

Good luck, and let us know if you find any favorite recipes, or information you find compelling in your search. This could be fun!
